How to pass welding tests in Poland successfully: Expert tips

Nervous about tests at a new factory? We explain how welding tests work, what Polish inspectors look for, and how to avoid common mistakes.

Every professional welder knows: before signing a contract at a good Polish factory, you must confirm your qualifications. This process is called welding tests (testy or próbki).

Many craftsmen worry before the exam, but knowing the inspectors' requirements makes the process stress-free. Here are the main stages and tips from Zvaryuvalnyk.xyz experts.

1. Technical drawing (Rysunek techniczny)

High-paying jobs require basic technical drawing reading skills. The inspector may give you a drawing and ask you to assemble the part before welding.

2. Machine setup

The first thing the inspector looks at is whether you can independently set up the welding machine. Important tip: always make a test weld on a scrap piece of metal to check the settings before welding the exam piece.

3. Weld quality (Spoina)

Tests are most often taken in PF, PC, or PE positions. The weld is evaluated visually (VT). It must be even, without undercuts, pores, or spatter. Proper cleaning of the part after welding is also highly valued in Poland.

4. Health and safety compliance (BHP)

You can make a perfect weld, but if you start welding without a mask or gloves, you will fail instantly. Safety (BHP) is always the top priority in European factories.

The Zvaryuvalnyk.xyz team always accompanies candidates during testing. Leave a request, and we will find a job that matches your skill level!
